Medical Catheters Tubing Extrusion Line
Medical catheter tubing extrusion lines produce continuous tubing with controlled diameters and wall thicknesses for use in medical devices. The tubing production process begins when the motor and gearbox turn the screw, carrying the polymer along the heated barrel as it melts and mixes. After passing through the tubing die, the formed medical tube goes to the sizing and cooling units to stabilize its dimensions and shape. From there, the haul-off keeps it moving at a steady speed until the automatic cutter cuts it to the specified length.

Features
- These medical tubing extrusion lines have a direct servo drive, eliminating belts and chains that could release lubricant into the production area.
- Mirror-polished and degreased flow paths inside the screw and die head help protect the tubing from oil and residue contamination.
- Closed-loop controls continuously monitor extruder pressure and tubing diameter, then adjust the process when fluctuations occur to maintain consistent product dimensions.
- Two, three, or more material layers can be coextruded to give the tubing additional properties, such as light protection or greater strength.
- Different products can be made on the same extrusion line by changing the specialized die and adjusting the process settings, including infusion tubing, endotracheal tubes, and hemodialysis tubing.
- The extrusion lines are designed, manufactured, and operated to meet the requirements of GMP-certified production environments.
- They have a compact looped cooling tank provides enough cooling distance for high-speed production while requiring less floor space.
