Precision Extrusion Applications Fluoropolymer & High-Performance Plastics Extrusion Lines
-
- The PFA tubing produced on fluorocarbons extrusion lines can meet applicable SEMI requirements for high-purity fluid handling.
- Besides PFA, the extrusion line can process FEP, ETFE, PCTFE, and PVDF for ultra-high-purity fluid transport in semiconductor production, ultrapure chemical systems, LCD panel manufacturing, and solar equipment.
PFA Tubing Extrusion -
- FEP, PFA, and ETFE can be processed into heat-shrink tubing for electrical insulation and sealing protection.
- Typical applications include medical catheters, semiconductor equipment, electronic and automotive wire harnesses, aerospace cables, and fiber-optic communication systems.
Heat Shrink Tubing Extrusion -
- PVDF and PCTFE can be extruded into solid rods, and by using a die the same extrusion line can be used to produce custom profiles or single-lumen tubing from either of the two materials.
- The screw, barrel, and die are made from Hastelloy C276 to be able to withstand the high temperatures and corrosive conditions involved in fluoropolymer extrusion.
Fluorocarbons Rod and Profile Extrusion -
- PEEK pellets can be extruded into high-temperature tubing and rods for medical devices. Besides standard PEEK tubing, the extrusion line can be configured for specialized tube designs, including heat-shrink and radiopaque tubing.
- The screw, barrel, and die are made from Hastelloy C276 to withstand the high processing temperatures required for PEEK extrusion.
