Key Capabilities
- The PFA tubing produced on fluorocarbons extrusion lines can meet applicable SEMI requirements for high-purity fluid handling.
- Besides PFA, the extrusion line can process FEP, ETFE, PCTFE, and PVDF for ultra-high-purity fluid transport in semiconductor production, ultrapure chemical systems, LCD panel manufacturing, and solar equipment.
- The screw, barrel, and die are made from Hastelloy C276, which makes the main processing components resistant to heat and corrosion as required for fluoropolymer extrusion.
- The barrel has several independently controlled heating zones, allowing the fluoropolymer to reach the correct processing temperature gradually and melt evenly. The closed-loop system corrects any temperature drift before it affects the tube dimensions.
- The tubing's wall thickness is monitored in real time through an online ultrasonic measuring system. The measurements are fed back to the controls, which allows the extrusion process to be corrected whenever the thickness starts to vary.
- The temperature is controlled within ±0.5°C to ensure consistent extrusion, while the finished tubing can achieve an inner-surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.2 μm for the clean, precise transport of ultra-high-purity fluids in semiconductor production.
